What is your occupation/brand?
I’m Judy from the music band: Colorful Rhythm
When did you know that you were an artist?
When I started to have my music pieces performed years ago
Were you afraid to call yourself an artist?
Sometimes. When I’m out of music ideas or hear something that is really great which makes myself guilty of being not as great.
What do you love about being an artist?
The creative process is always fun. And the result of having something accomplished satisfies me.
What do you want the view to take with them after seeing your artwork?
I’m a classically trained musician. I have a background of composing classical-experimental music. I also like jazz and rock music. Because of that I hope people can hear my synthesis of different influences which forms a unique voice on this newly released self-titled album: Colorful Rhythm
Sometimes being an artist can be exciting but fearful, I personally fear that I do not show enough of myself in my art, what do you fear?
I used to fear a lot of things about my music. I felt I need to have people’s validation. But I’ve been trying to get out of that negative thinking. I just do what I like and not to care too much about what people think. As an artist I feel the most important thing is not to please everyone but myself.
Did you attend school, or were you self taught?
Yes. I enrolled in music programs my whole life.
Were do you see your career 5 years from now?
I hope I will release more albums, do more shows and try more new ideas in my music. Right now I’m collaborating with different artists and hopefully something interesting will be created.

I’m playing a show at Stage bar on May 10 and on June 30 at Six Flags Great America.
