My week this week, was extremely hectic so i will show it in pictures. I met a ton of wonderful people this week. Especially at the Capitalize on Illinois event.
I’ve been running around downtown to get supplies for the office and got bored waiting for the bus
Oh! I also took out my box braids and put yarn braids in
During the week after work, I stopped by a starbucks on Michigan and Im a big fan of starbucks artwork and I want to create pieces similar to them
Ok this week at work we met many innovators and leaders and we had a blast.
Top left: Erik Hernandez, graduated from the cycle before us, he is the tech guy, the coder, and also the challenger. He is a very funny guy, and always comes to work in a suit, very snazzy. My favorite quote from Erik “Create more value than you capture”
Top right: Abdel Tefridj the Vice President of Careerbuilder, who is hiding a bit in the picture. Over deliver and give options”. He is a great person to be in the room with, he loves to share and teach
Bottom left: Thomas D Kuczmarski, a very wonder person, his energy is positive and enlightening. He is the co-founder of the Chicago Innovation Awards, he has written 6 books including “Apples are Square”. My favorite quote from him. “Innovation is not random, it is a skill you learn and develop”
Bottom right: Tony Stonitsch. the principal of Antietam Advisors. He is funny, and fun. “Adopt your mentor”
Nikhil Goyal, 17 year prodigy, author and international speaker, he’s won the 2013 Freedom Flame Award, past winners were Dr. Martin Luther King and John Lewis. He is very passionate about education, the way its heading and how we can change it. Very passionate, and what I love about him is that he wants to share how we can educate ourselves
Tuesday, earlier this week….Going to the doctors office with my youngest Alexis, shes fine just getting a physical, her outfit is on point though
This week during work, I went with some colleagues to go get expensive doughnuts at Firecakes on Hubbard, for management
The big one with cream is lemon meringue and the one next to it had bacon and pineapple
At Capitalize on Illinois, taking pics like a mad man
Yes I’m in the bathroom, taking pics, but its the executive bathroom.

Rigel Marcinik my project manager of Morfeo and Jeremy Collins the Technical Analyst of Morfeo….. I am the business analyst.
Joseph Harvey the founder of cityincite.org and is also involved in In The City Tv on youtube
He also creates fundraisers for Pediatric Cancer
Joseph Harvey founder of http://www.cityincite.org, Sandee Kastrul the founder of ICStars, who I work for http://www.icstars.org, and Nkosio White from http://www.chicagobeergeeks.com/
Alumni with Sandee Kastrul, from previous cycles
My ID badge, I’m lame I know, at Capitalize on Illinois, we discuss the importance of good company, having a appreciation of those around you. Sandee gave a lovely speech on the benefits of good company. Also the theme was the merging of the CIO (Chief Information Officer) and CMO (Chief Marketing Officer), what the issues were and how to merge together for the best of the company. The table that I was at, one point that came up was for IT to have agility, Im in the beginning of my IT journey, so I listened more than discuss, but anyone who has an opinion, please feel free.
Until next time
